Brent S. Moffett

Brent Moffett is a partner at Moffett, Sims, Gauthier & Willoughby, PC, and has been with the firm since 2016. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business from the Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University and subsequently attended Michigan State College of Law. During law school, Brent participated in the Trial Practice Institute and clerked for the Honorable Colleen O’Brien, who currently presides at the Michigan Court of Appeals.

Throughout his career, Brent has successfully defended cases in the areas of product liability, premises liability, automobile negligence, including both first-party and third-party claims, as well as complex multi-party construction litigation.

Brent serves as National Counsel for a well-known manufacturer of consumer products and has been admitted in both federal and state courts throughout the United States and Canada on a regular basis. He is experienced in issues involving the National Fire Protection Association, as well as Underwriters Laboratory standards. As a result of his experience, Brent has developed and maintained strong relationships with experts in the fields of electrical and mechanical engineering, fire investigation and human factors.

Brent is a member of the Product Liability Advisory Council (PLAC) and regularly attends their seminars to maintain his expertise in the field of product liability defense.
